Excuses To Apply Sunless Tanning

By Haywood Hunter

Whatever the time of year, a healthy tint to your skin can make a nice difference. Many people achieve this by sitting in the sun for a while, absorbing the rays of the sun, resulting in darker shade to the skin. For others, however, the preference is for sunless tanning lotions.

There are a few reasons, of various degrees of importance, why this would be. The most crucial and often given reason is that spending too much time in the sun is bad for your health and your skin. Diseases such as skin cancer are a big risk if you do not take precautions, but it is a risk that does not exist with tanning lotion.

This is probably one of the more important reasons that somebody might have to make this choice. That it is more convenient is another reason that is somewhat less severe. Many find sunbathing to be boring, or they do not have much time to spend on it, or they just find it time-consuming, anyway, even if others consider it to be relaxing and easy.

If you only have to apply and wait for something to dry, it will take less time than waiting hours in the sun. It might also be that you want a tan at a point in the year when there just is not much sun to sunbathe under. Even if there is a sun at these points, it still tends to be too cold, anyway. An easy alternative, here, is tanning lotion, so that you can still have that healthy tint.

Some people feel that the results of tanning lotion are not at all like a natural tan. They feel that it looks too garish and orange to be realistic.

Depending on the lotion you buy, this could still very well be the case. There are, however, many options available that can help you replicate a natural tan, fully. For sunless tanning, there are many viable options around.
