However, the main reason is due to the fact that it is a requirement under the law. People often do it so as to meet the legal requirements. In most countries, the requires that people take regular eye tests so as to ascertain their driving capability.

Failure to do so, may result in the revocation of your practice license. This is because it will mean that you are incapable to continue offering the services that you were offering in the first place.

Children are also given such exams. However, they are usually in a mild format since the seeing capabilities of a child are very minimal. This is meant to determine whether the child has been born with full eyesight or not. After this, they will know the next course of action to take.

This will definitely go very well for them. With detection, comes proper treatment. In the long run, they end up saving the cost that they would have incurred in future after realizing the problem. However, by this time it would probably have been already too late to do anything about it either way.
